Here is the lower half of my face talking about some new soldier tokens I got printed that you can order.
The soldier tokens are real and available for purchase here!
Ahem, is this thing on? Soldier tokens coming soon. Don’t call it a comeback etc.
UPDATE: Now for sale here.
I’ve been agonizing over this way too much so I’ll just rip the bandage off: I’m halting my work on Magic fan-art.
It’s been almost 4 years since I started Inkwell Looter and I’ve had a blast. Looking back on the body of work makes me smile. I wish I could keep doing it.
To be brutally honest, I’m at a crossroads where I need to accelerate my creative career. I believe that it’s more likely to happen if I explore other avenues.
Now, with that bit of nastiness out of the way, let me make a few things clear:
1. I’m not quitting Magic. I’m not leaving the community. I’ll still be on Twitter and attacking with monsters and all of that.
2. I intend to produce even more work than before. Just not MTG-related. This pen don’t stop. All projects will be linked from my main portfolio site: jfnexus.com.
3. If you happen to know of an interesting, paying gig that’s a good fit for my arsenal of creative skills, maybe drop a line to your ol’ pal, Looter, hmm?
And, finally, I’m grateful to everyone who supported my quirky fan-art project. When I started Inkwell Looter I knew zero people in the larger MTG community yet I was immediately embraced and offered an abundance of helping hands. I have many new friends. You guys are the best.
Some of my own ideas for holiday MTG cards, with a healthy dose of holiday reality. If you’re not yet sick of holiday card puns, check out my latest comic at Gathering Magic.

I illustrate a core truth of Magic culture in my latest comic strip for Gathering Magic.
Also, I’ve contributed some art to a Typhoon Haiyan benefit auction. There’s lots of good stuff up for bid over there so you should probably check it out. Inkwell Looter fans might be particularly interested in this original linework for one of my recent comic strips. You get some sweet art and the proceeds go to a very important cause. Do it!
